Plastic Wrapped
This is a still life series that comments on the human impact on the environment. Displaying this tragedy as something beautiful, this series explores the juxtaposition between the manmade objects, trash, and nature that coexist in our everyday.
I wanted to capture the beauty in the trash and decay of my surroundings by photographing rusty scrap metal and withering flowers that I found in my wandering. I used light, color, and reflections as a metaphor for the rose-colored lens through which people often view the world, blinding them to the pollution and harsh realities that surround them.
